Staff
We don’t leave all the excitement and adventure for just the young people. Each year faithful men and women take a leave from their civilian lives and join the ranks with our young missionaries. They make up the Youth Reachout staff. This committed group of people arrive at Boot Camp one week before the rest of the team for an intense time of training in counseling, preparing devotionals, leadership, and much more.
The staff consists of a Trip Director who oversees the entire missions effort from transportation and food to fun times and ministry. There is also a Program Director who organizes the ministry for each day and emcees each meeting. The Head Counselors are usually older couples who will act as Mom and Dad while you’re on your trip. They will make sure lights are out on time and everyone is doing well, and they will spend a lot of time getting to know you and working on some future goals for your life.
There is also a music director on each trip who directs the choir and selects individual people to minister in music each day. And, of course, there is a nurse. Our nurses are top notch at keeping their missionaries in shape to minister. They keep an eye on everyone and can deal with common illnesses and problems.
Many of our staff members have been on a Youth Reachout trip before, and you can be sure they’ll make your missions experience a good one!
