The KBC Worship Ministry is lead by Lindsay Hume who has been a part of Church worship for the past 10 years and has been the KBC Worship leader since June 2009 and a team leader one year before that.
The Worship ministry serves the congregation by leading in worship together on Sunday Mornings. Our congregation is a mix of all ages so we have a balance of choruses with about 2 hymns per service. Practices are Thursday nights and Sunday mornings before the service; starting every practice with reading scripture and prayer to focus on why we are there; to use our gifts to glorify God.
It is our goal to make sure our hearts are right with God to be able to be used by Him to serve the KBC congregation better. We try and focus and live out what it says in scripture:
1 Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.
2 Worship the LORD with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
3 Know that the LORD is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his [a] ;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
5 For the LORD is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.
